We went and saw Love Actually, great movie - funny and you leave feeling all warm and fuzzy. When we got home we were just in time to watch some fat arse jump on Emma’s car, nice dents (No more warm fuzzy feeling either). Ah don't you love fat drunk people; there should either be a law against them or a license so you can shoot them. Fat Fucker hope his heart stops or something, I mean really I must so have Karma in the bank. If I do I wanna spend some of it - Baa.
Hmmm also, I looked at the Calendar today and there is only a week left of me being young, after this week it's all down hill. I'll need a walking frame and adult nappies. Then again at least I wont have to get up to use the loo or worry about falling over when I drink too much - Silver lining I guess.

I have been reading in the general press and – I was going to say industry, but it’s more geek blogs – about bluejacking. I’ve been hearing more and more about Bluetooth in the last few months. I was interested in it about 3 years ago but then only the top of the line phones had it and umm, nothing else – so I lost interest.
Bluetooth in the news again has once again sparked my interest – so I wandered off to see if I could now write Bluetooth enabling applications for phones and the like. Low and behold I can, but no phones yet exist, and I’d be writing for one of about 3 emulators – all I which I would have to pay for and none of which seem to be backed by the major Phone Companies. So it looks like its back to sleep for Jono in terms of Bluetooth and Java hopefully not for 3 years this time.

Relaxing weekend, went to the Australian Reptile park on Sunday, the park is MUCH better than website, got to say hello to a Koala and see a load of other animals some even reptiles :D. Good fun even if we did seem to be one of the only non kid ridden groups.

Melbourne was good, loads of cool bars, was good to catch up with Tom and Julia. Rugby was good last weekend, although both of us felt like crap on Sunday.
On a different subject
On a different subject
So you have decided to implement some API/ Specification with a few of your friends / co-workers / script kiddies [delete non-applicable].
I have a few small requests:
- Unless you plan to finish the fucking thing in a timely fashion - just go back to looking at porn or something.
- Every time you implement a feature that either
- Makes your product non wildly standard,
- Hinders you from finishing the core functionality,
Cut off at LEAST one of your fingers - I'll leave it up to you how many you remove – it should be inline with how much you have fucked up your product. - think of it as a primitive priority tracker.
- Documentation– assume that whoever is going to use your product isn’t say YOU and maybe didn’t write the fucking thing and may not know what you were thinking when you only write half a sentence.
- If you get bored easily with documentation - examples are good - they at least show the poor bastard trying to use your product the twisted way your mind works – also cut off a few fingers for good measure.

Had a good weekend with Emmas folks, loads of people over for a house warming and then Peters birthday on Sunday. Managed to see some Oz wild life that wasn't road kill which was cool, we are back in not very sunny Sydney now. On a completely different subject isn't it interesting how roaches can withstand a nuclear blast, being frozen in ice, roach spray and all manner of other bad shit™, but not a small amount of force exerted in the right direction.

Don't read if you haven't seen Kill Bill
Just got back from Seeing Kill Bill vol1, the dialog is well over the top, pulp fiction not hamlet, remember, I liked it over all I think I will let it settle before saying much more, apart from maybe the sound track was also a bit OTT is places - still overall I liked it. more later

In other news Emma brought an iPod, she has only had it for a day so I will hold back from the full apple products are godly. So far it seen pretty piss easy to use, it got me to install itunes even though I'm a) not on a mac b) don't have an ipod (Yet for both I'm hoping). Funny after Emma saying dont' need 40 GB, don't need 40GB she started ripping CDs about 10 into she says " I should have got the bigger one".
So retards of the world unite and move to Australia and plan online music sales. So installed iTunes thinking ooo ooo online music, but no, only available in the States. Email apple - no response, ring apple - “ No – check the website it might happen, but Australia has different yadda yadda yadda”, zzzzzzzzz. Look online - Telstra has ONE fucking label signed and may have something out before Christmas, a couple of other labels are also thinking about, baaaaaaaaaa. Kids if you wanna stop people nicking your music make it available online, here think about this “Oooo I really wanna listen to <insert favorite band of the day/> shall I fuck about looking on whatever has replaced napster and Kazaa for the full version of a song that is labeled right or should I spend 4 fucking seconds and a dollar and download it from itunes “ Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa - read this

We have just had a fan-bloody-tastic weekend, even if it did get off to a shaky start. We had planned to go out for a few quiet drinks with friends, but as things do, it got a little out of hand and we both woke up feeling like crap - not even greasy egg sarnees helped. Anyway we managed to drag ourselves out of the house and up to the hunter valley to Opera in the Vineyards. Really cool idea, loads of great food and booze and you take everything else. We lay round listening to the music, eating and drinking. On the Sunday we drove round the Hunter Valley a bit more then headed home, with what appeared to be everyone else in Sydney, only took about 1/2 hour longer than I thought it was going to so the traffic wasn't too bad. Anyway go to the Hunter Valley, very beautiful.

So the squirrel from the bench, catbert and bofth, have nothing on Foxtel program director, or whatever their evil title maybe. So Sunday moto GP is on, and they show the 125 and the 250 races and Im just getting ready for the main event and what happens, they switch to a replay of the Saturday RWC game between Italy and NZ, baa its a "$%#%$ replay, they then show the race delayed later that night which I miss. Then today the race is on and what happens they push it back so they can show Baseball, this I can almost understand because its live, however its still baseball, baaa evil evil evil I tell you, what was wrong with showing it live instead of bumping it so we can see 54 million rugby replays, arses.

Well Sydney seemed to remember it is meant to be a sunny warm place on saturday, instead of a cold rainy shite hole. So we went over to manly to catch up with Zoe and Vinney who are back from there travels and take in the Manly Jazz Festival on so we lay round in the sun listening to jazz. We then erm went for an Indian as you do at the beginning of the night ( not a good idea by the way) then bounced round a few bars.

So I meant to say something about the weekend instead of rant, so here we go. Saturday we were going to go for a walk round the north shore, but it was windy and not that hot (after being 25+ all week) so we went for a wander into town and there was a wine and food thing on in Hyde Park, lots of Yummy Food and good booze a very pleasant why to spend a Saturday. Then Saturday night we caught up with a Cousin that was over for the weekend, which was cool. It was good to catch up after not having seen him for 10 years. Sunday was pretty relaxed we went for a drive then mooched at home, with a small lets watch a crap movie interlude of watching About Schmidt. Slice of life movies interest me about as much as soaps, woo watch people going through all the unpleasant things you get to do, woo nothing unreal no escape, good use of my time. Also watched the first half of the Liverpool game, baa, I dont watch, they win, I do watch, they lose.
So incase you haven't heard its ok to be sexist and racist in New Zealand, just don't hit your kids or take drugs.
Why hasnt the arse been fired? In a country that is so overly politically correct I would have assumed calling someone a "cheeky darkie would have been grounds for dismissal, if he had called a Maori a cheeky darkie one assumes it may have been different however seeing as it was only the Secretary General of the United Nations - it is ok.
Well done Mr. Holmes New Zealand is once again in the world news because you are a twat and the people you work for have no spine.
ew Zealand, just don't hit your kids.

Hmmmmmm so our flat has this weird temperature differential, its never above about 15 degrees downstairs compaired to either upstairs or the outside world. Which leads me nicely into even if its about 25 and humid as a bastard outside as I have just found out I mean how can it be that different, we dont have double glazing, AC or any other temperature altering device. We have some freak heat sink of a living room, hmmm I'm thinking House or the school in Buffy, take your pick.

I have now eatin in the rocks 3 times and two have been crimes against food, it is an evil place for tourists. How I ask you can you cock up scallops and pasta ? By making it taste about as interesting as cardboard, that is how the place we went on Saturday did it, Baaa.
So food rant over, Sunday was cool, we drove round in circles attempting to escape from road closure due to the Marathon, then finally got into the blue mountains and did a bit of walking. Great place even if they have closed the walk we wanted to do. This turned out to be a good thing as we did a couple of other shorter walker and felt totally buggered so god knows what would have happened if we had opted for the 5 hour walk. We also went on a scenic rail thing which was kinda cool, once agian I'll have a look for a link to it later.

Long time no blog, we have had about 54 million people stay with us over the last week or so, Tom and Julia arrived from the travels on there way to Melbourne. Then Emmas parents turned up a few days later and finally Dad for the weekend. It was good to see everyone and equally its now nice to have a house back to ourselves. Not much of a change on the job front apart from an offer for a job in London, good one.

Me and Emma have just got back from seeing 28 Days later, I will now manage without sleep until I forget about the movie.
Monday, August 25, 2003
Well, we had a good weekend, hired a car and drove up to the blue mountains and the beaches north of Sydney, very cool weekend. So television may not be on the same level as it is in the UK, however a glimmer of hope is Enough Rope with Andrew Denton. We have just finished watching this weeks programme, it is a sign of a brilliant interviewer when he can address his guest about 10 minutes into the interview as a "seriously fucked up individual", then about 5 minutes after that then refer to their sole career is "crap". Ya don't get Paxman saying that to our Tony, now do ya :D.

So has anyone else noticed that clothes are like people, guys clothes, wash them hot, wash them cold, tumble dry them, line dry them, they don't care. Womens clothes, wash at 29.45 Degrees, slow spin, short massage, don't tumble dry, dry clean or don't line dry. Waft until dry with tissue paper. Arse is all I have to say. Ok while I'm here, I was going to listen to a CD just now, I use Winamp over Windows Media Player, personal taste and the fact that Media player doesn't just play the music, it does 58 million things but play the music. Anyway the CD in question is an "Enhanced CD", which means I get some crap quicktime presentation and no access to the Music except through Media player baaaaaaaaaa.

Grandfather died Sunday, buggery. Knew it was coming but still a bit of a shock, tend to think you will always get to see people one more time. Oh a more up beat note, I've been using feed reader for about a week or so, about the same time I found Martin Fowler had a feed to his blog/bliki.

We had Zoe and Vinney over for christmas on the weekend, had a huge christmas lunch, including pudding and presents, it was cool. Then on sunday we went to the SCG to watch the Sydney Swans(they play AFL), it was a good game. The AFL crowd seems a lot more relaxed than crowds at other types of footy, more family and a good time rather than getting trashed and kicking the crap out of each other. After the game we went for a few pints at the Lord Dudley, which calls itself an "Old English Style Pub", cool place.

Ok, I think I want an Apple more than ever, I seem to get windows updates daily and every other day there is a new version of redhat. I'm aware that 'update often' is a wonderful coding mantra, but come on, so is writing stuff that works before releasing it, and possibly not just releasing it with a GUI tweak and slapping a new version on it.

Oooooooo I had forgotten about this, until now, I am reading Pattern Recognition by William Gibson. I have just read a review and agree that being set in the present scared me a bit, but so far it seems Brilliant, with the one exception that you can tell when someone writes about an area that they haven't lived in, like calling Camden, Camden Town, ummmm yeah, it is the correct name, but noone calls it that, do they, cough, cough, no.
So I know everyone who reads this loves bikes, so this and of course this will be of Immense interest to all of you. Go go Ducati.
We got back from the UK on sunday after getting pissed around by the BA staff at Heathrow, I mean how the hell can you just walk out without telling anyone, they should have all been fired. Anyway, Qantas were good and got our plane out about 4 hours late. So its ya ya Qantas, Booo Boooo BA, but then with the Rail network and the Tubes how they are one shouldn't expect the airways to be any better.
It was really good to catch up with everyone while we were over there, we are now missing everyone loads. I'm also missing Mr Dallaways new Lap top, As much as I dislike the idea of being tied to a sole company for my hardware and software, I really get sick of recompiling my kernel and reinstalling windows. I know that Apple isn't going to be the wonderous fix of all time, but I think it is a move in the right direction.

Ok so back to the phone, I've just been out and got the Data cable and it doesn't come with any fucking software, ummmm HELLO, it's a cable and a driver, I have to download the 25 MB of functionality from the website, cos that wouldn't fit on the CD, cos it already has a Colossal 33 Mb on it, baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Oh and there is a bloody 7250i , boooooooooooooooooo.

baaaaaaaa, people suck, crap trip to work this morning some freak on the bus who was a skinny arse white guy like me taking up 90% of the fucking seat and bouncing round like some mf on crack. Then some silly bitch on the train sitting in the aisle seat doesn't move over when I go to sit down so I have to push past her to get to the empty seat, fine my arse your face. What is with people and not just moving over or at least making it easy to for people to move past. Oh while I'm here I spent all sunday rebuilding Emma's laptop, backed everything up in 54 million places, used the recovery CD, updated all the XP updates. It was still dying sorry bitch style, so i rebuild it AGAIN, nooooooooooo xp updates and guess what happy as larry. Arse arse and more arse, anyway if you have a Compaq Presario 700 Series laptop with XP home, I wouldn't go doing any windows XP updates. Oh and before you say anything yes I have coffee.
Wednesday, June 11, 2003
Mwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa just lost my #%@#$@!$ blog before posting, user error, I blame lack of coffee. So again. Emmas birthday went well, popped over to Adelaide and stayed at the Peter and Joys new house, very nice, Emma got loads of cool presents and we ate and drunk far to much. We drove to Melbourne and had a quick look round, nice place, want to go back and have a proper look, well go to some bars and pubs :D. Ummmmm installed the new Ximian Desktop yesterday, hmmmmmm monkey hmmmmmmm, its very very very nice.

Emma and I went to see The Matrix, it was good, maybe not as good as the first, although it could just be that your expectation level is higher, who knows, I'd go see it anyway. Very cool. Work, shite and cool at the same time, werid paradox. Also why doesn't everyone just agree with me it would be easier.

Ummmm I sure lots of other stuff has been happening that I should blog about but I'm buggered if I can remember what. Went out for dinner with Zoe and Vinney last night and then for some drinks at the Manly Wharf hotel, It was very funky, although the next bar darling that tells me that they don't want to shake my Martini because it will bruise the Alcohol is going to get nutted, winners.

Emma and I went to a play at the Bondi Pavilion tonight called Sister Street about a guy and his mates from the second world war. It was written by one of the guys after he returned, hmmmm I'm not 100 % sure, but I think I was written recently rather than just after the war, however amazing, possibly let down a little by some of the acting, then again I can't act so yeah.
Saturday, April 26, 2003
Ummmm, I'm crap I don't blog, enough. So we spent easter with Emma's parents in Adelaide, perfect weather, hot (about 25), not much wind. Met loads of friendly people drunk far too much good wine, generally relaxed, Huzzah. Oh my PS2 has been replaced and some new games AND my two UK games that weren't nicked work on my new oz PS2, Huzzah once more. Oh I now have my computer working and connected and online via an attractive bright yellow crossover cable. ummm phone is going ok, I'll get round to saying what I think is wrong with it soon (Not much). Ummm I really can't remember what I was going to say.

Righto so while this doesn't rate as a completely shite day it is getting close. Starts with more Shite Hardware then we nip out for lunch for one of the guys at work and after three quarters of an hour of waiting I give up on getting food and get my money back. Then the afore mentioned shite hardware and shite operating system goes tits up and we spend fucking ages trying to fix it. THEN on my way home I think something is strange and my gatorade bottle has leaked through my bag and over my jeans so I get to sit on a train and then a bus looking like I've pissed myself and then instead of coming home to some tv and food I have come home to washing and cleaning, baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. It will seem funnier later, like about 6 months. booooooooooo.
Tuesday, April 15, 2003
Righto the shipping comment is because our boxes turned up, finally, 2 months late, they had been opened and some nice people have stolen my PS2 and all it's accessories, all my DVDs, Emma's old laptop and some CDs.
Which is nice and now the shipping company will not return calls and the lovely food parcel they gave us with our boxes mostly expired in January or February, huzzah. OOOO almost forgot, my computer had the front almost ripped off it and wouldn't start, and It looked like it was opened and played with.
That however is now working thanks to Red Hat CDs from work and the fact that I had 20 GB of free space on my disk.
Anyway Im now looking for a cheap source of horses heads and possible if the US has some spare JDAMs I think I could put them to good use.

ok summary of what I just blogged and lost, so bus crash, all ok weird how glass makes a popping sounds when it shatters. Watched a guy powering past the bus this morning on roller blades and a pair of shorts, going well fast, does make you wonder how you stop quickly or even not that quickly. Oh and I got a phone, its a 7250, haven't had a load of time to play with it yet, however the camera seems better than I thought and the radio is also better than I thought, oh I'm listening to Triple J .So first Impressions are the phone is less plasticly spell ? than the 7210
which is nice the camera is a gimic but cool and not as crap quality as I thought. I loaded cave onto it and cave needs colour and a little word and final Triple J is very cool.

We saw Benji Reid at the Opera House tonight, He was amazing, it was put on by the British Council. Ummm I would try to describe the evening but it would sound like a load of old wank, needless to say, it was cool with a relaxed Hip-Hop/ Break-beat errr soundly thing going on, was well wicked, this is the BC link. On the way out we saw work by The Crazy Prins while we were at the Opera house, very cool. Oh Also Emma told me I was acting like Jack out Of Will and Grace, ok her exact words were, Your acting like that guy out of Will and Grace, to which I though she meant Will, which would have been cool. Alias no Im Jack or if you watch enough of W&G Just Jack. Oh afterwards we went for a drink at the Opera bar and watched the Stars (the ones in the sky) even renaming a few constellations (Word spelling checks this as constipations) and as we were leaving found out that the bit of the bar that was closed off, was for the after do drinks that we had passes to, anyway we were having a better time outside watching the sky, although I would have liked to talk to Benji Reid, As for the constellations they can wait for another time.

So what the fuck is up with the BBC if you submit a comment to a story there is no confimation, you don't even go back to the story. Get this you go back to the home page, HELLO can you say winners. Oh and what was I reading, a load of arse it would appear, have science publications signed a deal with closed source software companies to only write about software that costs money, What is wrong with Spam Assassin

Sunday, March 23, 2003
Well, a wonderful weekend is almost at an end. Our David Jones vouchers arrived the other day from New Scientist, so on Saturday we wandered into town to spend our money, after walking round the store for what must have been 2 hours we ended up getting a load of kitchen stuff and a cool cordless phone, Yay Yay. After shopping ourselves into a rest and a glass of wine we decided to go for dinner and after ringing round about 3 places finally found somewhere that wasnt booked. Its called Buzo, and it was amazing, the waiter was friendly but not false or imposing, the setting was neutral and relaxing and the food was totally scrumptious. Neither of us was very hungry, however we both managed to find room for 3 courses. It was sort of expensive, however I think the price was inline with the total experience. Oh and its the first place in Sydney that does a proper Macchiato.
On the walk home we could hear Bruce Springsteen playing live so after wandering round for a bit we found the best place to listen was on our balcony at home, it was a surreal way to end the evening.
And today we went over to Manly to see Zoe and Vinnie and go to the beach. It was overcast when we woke up but all thought it would be worth a shot anyway. On the ferry over it started to rain and all was looking lost. Once we got to Manly we popped up to see their flat which is enormous and then decided to give the beach a go.
It turned out to be hot as buggery and I even ended up doing a bit of body surfing, loads of fun.
After that we went for a wander round the bay to another beach for a late lunch, which was most yummy. We then wandered back in search of coffee and all ended up getting dessert as well and are now feeling rather fat and tired.

Well first day of work is over and I think I managed not to scare too many people, there being only eight people in the office :D. I would however like to point out to people that there must be something in the Geneva Conventation about hours of work and what is allowed as a start time. I'm sure most of you will agree that 8:30 am is an hour to be asleep and safely tucked up in bed :|. Another thing if you are going to move country take your keyboard with you, its of little use to be able to touch type if some silly bastard has moved the keys, mwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Anyway first day good, yippee for work. Oh New Zealand was good, Air New Zealand was shite, never ever ever ever fly with them, did I say EVER, yes, right good. More later.

Well the Cup is on its way to a country that doesn't have anywhere to race it wahoo wahoo. Who is to blame, silly fucking small minded New Zealanders, I mean what else can we fuck up, give way or otherwise screw up sporting wise, we managed to lose co-hosting the rugby world cup and now lose the Americas Cup. If the people running Team New Zealand had have been more interested in the sport and less in money and glam maybe we could have keep the best yachts men in the world and held the cup, ah well.

We have just got back from a long day in the sun, went to our cafe for breakfast, amazing bacon and eggs, then got the bus out to Bronte beach where we lay in the sun for most of the day. There was almost no cloud it was brillant, a really chilled out beach. After the beach we wandered down and watched the mardi gras parade . The end of the parade was only about a 15 minute walk from the house sooooooo it was easy getting there. It started at about 1/4 to 8 and didn't really finish until about 10 or so, a really chilled out event with loads of cool floats, I think emma got some pictures, if so I'll put them up when I get a chance.

So the dangers of having a barbeque, I was lighting it this evening and managed to get a large amount of very hot match head in my eye, needless to say after a lot of jumping round with my eye under the bathroom tape I managed to get most of the crud out. None the less, remember matches are not our friends; then again you wouldnt be if someone was going to rub your head against a box until it burst into flame. Anyway BBQ got going fine and we had a scrumptious dinner of spud, steak and green veggies, and just as we were finishing it started to rain, so even the rain had timing. OOOOOOOOOOOO our boxes are somewhere in the country being questioned by customs as to there terrorist status and then we maybe allowed them, so soon I shall have my PS2, PC and well two and half other boxes of err stuff. Then world domination can start up again.
Americas cup isnt going really well at the moment, it will get better, err please get better. I sat up and watched the cricket the other night against South Africa, so I only really saw our innings, because we were out having drinks with some friends. Back on track however, the game didnt finish until 3 in the morning and then I spent umm 10 or 20 minutes talking to Ash about it, so I was totally shattered the next day, thank god for not working, otherwise no cricket for Jono, boo. It was a good game, very exciting and of course we won, which always makes a good game.
It cant be to long before bikes start back up, ok ok, so I know its not till near the end of March, but that has to be soonish. The Ducati looks amazing and there is hope for Aprilia with Edwards and Haga, tis going to be a good season, hopefully Ill have time to keep an eye on Superbikes as well

Had a late start today after having a few to many last night, although had a yummy dinner at the Light brigade (A pub round the corner from our house). Went down to darling harbour and caught some of the Dragon boat racing and got some yummy food, which got rid of my hangover. After that we caught the ferry to Manly to catch up with Zoe and Vinny to try lawn bowling, it turned out to be a load of laughs and not as hard as either Emma or I had thought, so another cool day.

Righto, Forgot to say last night that we went to see the Quiet American, it wasn't great, it was a bit crap, it could and should have been a LOT better, cool story. For every English person who bitched at me about the number of antipodeans that worked in bars and pubs etc, there seems to be a proportionate number of English people working in the serving industry here, in fact I think we have only heard about 6 Australians since we got here. We have just got back from buying Emma some new geek toys, and she is now the proud owner of a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse.
Articles I am currently reading Oracle and clustering, I haven't read it all, but it looks as though they had the same ideas as we did, but a bit more time and money :D.

We went to watch the Chinese New Year parade in the center of town today, it was really great, amazing dragons and a relaxed atmosphere. After the parade went past us we followed it down into Chinatown and ended up at the Chinese gardens next to Darling Harbour, where there was an amazing dragon display with cracker at the end, was very cool, the dragon guys are very fit. After the display we went for a wander through the gardens, they are brillant built 2 waterfalls, loads of fish, birds and even a couple of lizards, really relaxing. Also stopped off for lunch in there tea rooms and had Dim Sum, yummy yummy. We were walked back via the rocks, so we could have a look at the market and had just stopped for a beer when Dad called to say hello, and he told me about this. Apart from the lose to the families I wonder how many years it will put back the space program. Instead of bombing Iraq maybe Bush should move all that new found money to space. Oh well, not a happy day after that. Popped into our local cafe ( Hot Gossip) for a quick snack on the way home, as per usual very yummy. Buggered now so I'm gunna go to sleep.
Ummm ok, this is funny, thank you /.. Went to the Cafe round the corner from us for breakfast this morning for another yummy big breakfast, ok we don't get the breakfast we get toast, but still, we are build up to a breakfast. Ahhhh back in a land where a cafe isn't a chain, serves good food and coffee. Went over to Manly in the afternoon lay on the beach, then went to the New Brighton Hotel for a couple of beers before meeting up with Vinney and Zoe for a Few more beers ( and a drunken call to Neela so she could hear dimitri playing ) and then some yummy food at a resturant all Out of Africa, most yum.

Righto not sure how far Ill get with this seeing as I have loads to tell and Im not sure how long I can be bothered to stay up.
Had a good chat with Richard and Jane the other day over yahoo, cant wait till ADSL turns up and we can try again. I imagine the quality will improve if Im not on dial up.
Rob and his daughter Hannah were over round last weekend, it was good to catch up with him and go for a wander to the star wars thing on at Power House Museum in Darling Harbour.
On Sunday Emma and I wandered down to the Opera house to watch the Australian Day ferry race and then headed out to have a barbeque at Rob sisters Penny, although before leaving Circular Key to head out to Pennys we saw the maddest women, she was wander up to people and either hit them or tried to set them alight with a lighter, weird.
On the Saturday before Australia Day, Emma and I wander up to Centennial Park to go to the moonlight cinema which is cool although, spot the "out of towners", that was us with no mozzie killer, anything to sit on, any jumpers, anything to eat or drink. However the ground was comfortable enough and you could buy a bottle of wine for about ten dollars, so it was loads of fun and the movie was good.
Its been all go on the job front this week, have spoken to people and sent about 45 billion emails out ( ok a few less) and seem to be making some head way, key thing if you are about to move countries, make sure that your job market isnt dead.
Oh rich sent me this link it would appear its now cool in England, now that I have left, noooooooooooooooooooo I didnt wanna see your bloody stupid snow anyway!
Oh last night I was introduced to the wild life of Sydney, we had a Huntsman move into the bathroom. Emma wouldnt let me relocate him, so he had to sleep with the fishes. So Im now an arachnid gangster, needless to say not cool in the karma department, booo.

Looks like that is sorted, and of course after `Ellison observed wryly of Alinghi: "They were a little bit like a fine Swiss watch with some Kiwi parts."',then Larry the man.
