So I meant to say something about the weekend instead of rant, so here we go. Saturday we were going to go for a walk round the north shore, but it was windy and not that hot (after being 25+ all week) so we went for a wander into town and there was a wine and food thing on in Hyde Park, lots of Yummy Food and good booze a very pleasant why to spend a Saturday. Then Saturday night we caught up with a Cousin that was over for the weekend, which was cool. It was good to catch up after not having seen him for 10 years. Sunday was pretty relaxed we went for a drive then mooched at home, with a small �lets watch a crap movie� interlude of watching �About Schmidt�. Slice of life movies interest me about as much as soaps, woo watch people going through all the unpleasant things you get to do, woo nothing unreal no escape, good use of my time. Also watched the first half of the Liverpool game, baa, I don�t watch, they win, I do watch, they lose.

So incase you haven't heard its ok to be sexist and racist in New Zealand, just don't hit your kids or take drugs.

In a country that is so overly politically correct I would have assumed calling someone a "cheeky darkie� would have been grounds for dismissal, if he had called a Maori a �cheeky darkie� one assumes it may have been different � however seeing as it was only the Secretary General of the United Nations - it is ok.
